The Sintra Tourism Association signed a collaboration protocol with the Municipality of Sintra, with the aim of attracting and revitalizing tourist activity.

From this agreement, a amount of 75 thousand euros was made available by the municipality, which will serve to support the execution of various actions, which aim to assist the recovery of the tourism sector in the municipality and thus minimize the effects of the pandemic.
 
The interventions listed in this protocol include:

  • Support for tourism enterprises, as well as local accommodation units, tour operators and catering establishments, within the scope of the “Clean & Safe” seal award process;
  • Development of a campaign for the destination Sintra, promoting the region nationally and internationally in its various aspects;
  • Creation of Sintra Card Digital with discounts and benefits;
  • Creation of digital tools to support the visit to Sintra;
  • Creation and availability of information boards to the public, through QR code, including information on points of general interest, churches, museums, among others.
This is yet another important protocol, in addition to those that the Sintra Tourism Association has already celebrated in recent weeks. With these initiatives, we seek to equip our Associates with adequate and necessary instruments for the development of their activities, knowing that the path is long and that there is much to be done .
